This time, though, had to be the pinnacle of weirdness. It wouldn\u2019t matter what kind of creature came through the next anomaly, or what they found on the other side of some future one. Nothing could top taking down a dinosaur with her <em>aunt<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOkay,\u201d Dylan whispered as they hunkered down together behind a wall of crates. \u201cTell me again why you\u2019re not a lot more freaked out about this?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Aunt Elizabeth smiled ruefully. \u201cI can\u2019t. Not without clearing it with a whole lot of people on both sides of the border first.\u201d She held her tranq rifle more comfortably than Dylan would ever have imagined of the peace-loving diplomat she\u2019d idolized. \u201cYou said this is all non-lethal?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dylan nodded. \u201cWe don\u2019t want to risk changing the past by killing it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGood.\u201d Aunt Elizabeth cocked her rifle. \u201cThen let\u2019s send this one home.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Author&#8217;s Note: Because these two ladies were too awesome not to be related.
